What data we collect

When you submit a request through our wizard or contact form, we collect the information you provide, which may include:

• Your name, email address and phone number
• Your city/location
• Vehicle details (make, model, size) and the service you're requesting
• Any photos of your vehicle you choose to upload
• Messages you send us directly

If you register as a detailer, we also collect your business name, address, service categories and any other details you provide on your profile.

Why we collect it

We use your data to match you with verified car detailers who can fulfil your request, to forward your request details to those detailers so they can send you a quote, to respond to your enquiries, and to operate and improve Kardet. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (by submitting the form) and, where applicable, the steps necessary to provide the service you requested.

Who we share it with

We share your request details (not your full contact details unless necessary to deliver a quote) with the verified detailer(s) matching your request, so they can respond to you. We also use third-party service providers for hosting, email delivery and similar technical operations, who process data on our behalf and are bound to keep it confidential. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We retain your data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for — typically for the duration of your request and a reasonable period afterwards for support and record-keeping — unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Kardet uses essential cookies required for the site to function, and may use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its processing, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format.
